USA Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert April 30

Students of the USA Symphony Orchestra will perform their Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Amongst other works, the program will feature Mozart's Symphony No. 20 in D major, as well as Hindemith's "Trauermusik" for orchestra and solo viola. The ensemble is directed by USA string faculty Leonard Ligon, and USA string faculty Ashley Overby will be the featured solo violist on the Hindemith.

Additionally, USA Symphony Orchestra will welcome special guests, the students from the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra Chamber Strings Ensemble. The MSYO Chamber Strings prepares students to enter the MSYO, and this group is also directed by Leonard Ligon. In this concert, they will play a few selections before the USA Symphony Orchestra begins, and then they will join the orchestra for the final piece of the evening.
